   Jess Echeverry was all too familiar with the dark side of life from an early age. As the product of alcoholic and divorced parents, she experienced emotional, physical, and sexual abuse that led her on a path of destruction until 1997.  At that time, she met  the man she would eventually marry who helped her create an environment of authentic love. This enabled a healing journey for her where she developed an awareness of and a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that led to her entrance into the Catholic Church in 2008.
            Jess and her husband, a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, are the parents of five children. She is the founder and Executive Director of SOFESA, a non-profit ministry that has been serving Southern California homeless and low-income children and their families for 20 years.
              A popular media guest, Jess has appeared on numerous Catholic radio and television programs.  She is currently in the process of writing her life experiences with the goal of lifting up and enlightening others who are searching for ways to heal.
